Delicious, flavorful, and FRESH avocado toast made in two unique ways! A Mediterranean inspired slice with olives, feta, & roasted red peppers and a sriracha & goat cheese variety with just the right amount of spice. You’ll never be bored by avocado toast again!
One thing I love about working for myself (AKA: being my own boss) is that I can work ANYWHERE. As long as I have my computer, my phone, and internet access, the world can be my office.
Working from home is great, but I usually crave a change of scenery halfway through the day. So a few times a week, I pack up my computer bag and head to one of the local coffee shops near my apartment. I am lucky to live in an area that is super walkable, pedestrian friendly, and teaming with local cafes to patronize.
I usually switch my location up every week, but of course I do have my favorites. Perks is about a 15 minute walk from me and they have amazing drink AND food options. They also stock a lot of local brands, which is a total BONUS is my book. I even treat myself to a meal or snack every once in a while when I’m there because they have such innovative, unique options. I love trying all their different vegan breakfast options, but one thing (or really two!) that has really stolen my heart is their avocado toast.
And we’re not talking any ordinary avocado toast…Perk’s means serious business when it comes to dressing up their avo toast with some amazing ingredient and flavor combos.
Their two signature varieties are: Mediterranean & Spicy Goat Cheese.
Both are incredible and I couldn’t choose a favorite if I tried.
As much as I liked ordering them for a treat now and again, I couldn’t help but think that I could make my own at home for MUCH cheaper and with the same quality/taste/etc.
So I set out to do just that.
I bought two orders of their toast one last time so I could really analyze all the tastes, textures, and ingredients that go into making them….and then I got to toasting!

I’ve turned a lot of my family members and friends onto Perk’s avo toast in the past year, so I was excited to make MY version to see how they thought it compared.
I got 10/10 ratings all around and actually a few people liked mine better with a small changes and additions I made.
So now, whether you’re in Buffalo or not, you can jazz up your typical avocado toast with these fun toppings and ingredient combos!
These two toasts have been on REPEAT in my daily eats and I think once you try them, they’ll be new favorites of yours too.
Definitely let me know if you try either of these and tag me @HealthyHelper #HealthyHelper on Instagram ?
