Thanks to Bubs Naturals for sponsoring this tasty recipe!ย
New food trends are always popping up. I tend to be wary of the latest products to hit the market…especially if they make some sort of outrageous claim about what they can do for me and my health. But sometimes things become popular because they truly do work and make a positive impact on ones health. Just take a look at cauliflower….from lowly second choice to broccoli to HEALTH FOOD BUZZWORD!! I mean ‘cauliflower’ is basically it’s own sector of the health food industry now. ๐คช
With that said, I always do a ton of research and testing of different brands and options beforeย endorsing a trend or becoming loyal to one company. This was the case for collagen.
Collagen has become a super popular supplement over the past couple of years and a someone who likes to stay in the know about the latest and greatest trends in the healthy living world, I of course wanted to give it a try for myself. And in transparency, it’s taken me all this time for to finally find a brand I 100% stand behind and get results from. Sometimes, the most “popular” brant isn’t necessarily the best, folks.
Let me introduce Bubs Naturals! My go-to brand for all things collagen. Plus, I just LOVE the story behind the company and them name itself. From their website…
Cool, right?!
And aside from the products themselves, the other thing I LOVE about Bubs is that they give 10% of every purchase to charity. So you can FEEL good and DO good at the same time.
You may think you know about collagen….but let’s dispel some falsities.
Collagen: Fact vs Fiction
Fiction: Collagen is ground up cow bones.
FACT: Bubs Naturals up-cycles cow hide that would be wasted by leather tanneries to make their collagen products. The hide is from pasture raised and grass fed cows and they use an enzyme bath to break down the hide into molecules and boost the amino acid profile. Then the collagen is agglomerated and hydrolyzed into a powder.
Fiction: All collagen products are the same.
FACT: Bubs Naturals is different than any other collagen product on the market. It is single-sourced and certified. It’s also COMPLETELY flavorless and can be mixed into ANYTHING. Bubs’ formula is the highest quality for superior solubility.
Fiction: Collagen doesn’t provide any health benefits.
FACT: After our early 20โs our collagen production declines every year.ย Collagen is critical for the reconstruction of joints and overall joint health. In addition, it also supports gut health, muscle recovery, and healthy skin, hair, & nails.
In addition, Bubs also makes an awesome line of MCT oil! MCT stands for medium-chain triglyceride. These medium-length chains of fats called triglycerides are extracted from sustainably sourced coconut oil.
But back to their awesome collagen!!
I know a lot of people like to stir collagen into their coffee to get in their daily serving, but of course…being me…I like to do things a bit differently. My FAVORITE way to use collagen is by mixing it into oatmeal. It mixes in perfectly. Totally flavorless and undetectable. So you’re essentially getting ALL the benefits and nutrients without even knowing it.
Today I’m sharing my go-to overnight oats recipe! Perfect for a quick breakfast that can be prepped ahead of time and for the whole week so that your first meal of the day is one less thing to worry about on a busy morning.

Chocolate, peanut butter and oatmeal are always a winning combo. Looks like a great way to start the day
Thanks Deborah! Hope you give these a try!!
Sounds delicious…can you also heat that up in the morning after it being in the fridge overnight?
You could totally do that!! They’d be just as tasty!!
Sounds good. I’ve been doing pumpkin and banana with flax and nuts for a every once in a while breakfast treat. I know it is high carb, but I think adding college powder would work.
That mixture sounds good too! Let me know if you try this recipe. ๐
I eat oatmeal pretty much every day, but I do prefer it heated (because I’m always cold LOL). This recipe sounds yummy, but I’d probably have to heat it for a few seconds in the microwave…chocolate and peanut butter are a winning combo!
You could totally heat these. Just as yummy!!
My favorite oatmeal is steel cut so it takes a bit of time to make it on the stove but I love mixing it with greens, tomatoes topped with an egg ๐
Ooooh I love savory oats!! Such a fun twist on classic oats.
This looks like such a great combination! Iโm a big oatmeal fan but have never tried overnight oats.
I hope you give these a try!! Very different from regular hot oats. ๐
Thanks Michelle!! Hope these give you a great first experience with overnight oats!!
I’m not a collagen user but people swear by it. I prefer my oats hot so we don’t often do the overnight routine.
Definitely worth trying if you have time to prep ahead of time!! Makes a huge difference in timesaving during busy mornings. ๐
I would definitely love to give this a try. I haven’t yet gotten into the collagen craze.
Thanks Sandra! LMK if you try this recipe!!
I’m so far behind – I wanted to stop over and thank you for sharing at last weeks What’s for Dinner party. I can’t wait to see what new treats you’ll bring this week! Have a great week ahead.
