Deliciously spicy and savory roasted walnuts! Perfect for munching on during snack time or for a quick boost of energy during the day. These Sriracha Roasted Walnuts are oil-free, gluten-free, and vegan!
National Snack Food Month is happening in full force! My friends around the blog world have been sharing some awesome snack recipes lately to celebrate and I thought it was time I hop on the snack bandwagon too. I am the (self proclaimed) Queen of snacks, after all. 😉
Before I get to today’s recipe, I have a confession to make.
I have never had Sriracha before.
*GASP!*
I know, I know. Crazy right? Everyone’s favorite condiment and I’ve never had it? Pretty unbelievable! But it’s true. My parents just never really bought it….I guess we’re more of a ketchup and mustard family. It’s not that I have anything against it. In fact I LOVE spicy food! So it seems like fate that I’d be a Sriracha fan. But in my 22 years of life, I’ve just never reached for it.
That is until a few weeks ago. I was out trying a new ramen noodle bar with my friends and just as I was about to dig in, when my friend remarked that I hadn’t put any Sriracha on. At that point, I knew I had to confess. I told her about the lack of Sriracha in my life up until that point and she INSISTED that I try it.
Well friends, a half a bottle later, I am in love! WHAT THE HECK HAVE I BEEN DOING WITH MY LIFE?! There are so many Sriracha topped eating experiences I could have been enjoying this whole time. It’s time to make up for lost time ASAP.
Starting with these Oil-Free Sriracha Roasted Walnuts. My first ever recipe with Sriracha and it’s a WINNER.

Nutty, crunchy, savory, and spicy. These nuts have it all! They’re super easy to make (less than 4 ingredients), vegan, gluten-free, and of course oil-free as well. Another plus, they make your house smell AMAZING. If you like the smell of spicy, salty food cooking you will love the aroma these give off. Seriously drool worthy.
Like I said, it’s National Snack Food Month, so I must insist you make these ASAP. Especially if you’re a Sriracha newb like me. 😉

Thanks for hosting!!
I love a mix of sweet and spicy, and these sound like these could be a bit sweet with the walnut flavor and spicy (as long as they’re not too spicy?)
No they aren’t too spicy! They have the perfect mix of flavors! 😀
I’ve never had sriracha either? Heck I still struggle spelling it every time I type it haha! I need to try it just so I can know if I will love this wonderful snack. With the basil and almond butter in there too I am very intrigued…?
You will LOVE these Nat!! So easy to make and so SNACKABLE. 😀

I love the fact that these are oil free and they sound so tasty too! I have to say I only bought sriracha for the first time a few months ago so it’s nice to have a new idea of what to make with it!

Thanks Bethany!!
I love nuts to snack on, but these look like they pack a delish spicy punch. My husband and daughter love sriracha but I have only had it a few times I need to whip up a batch of these and learn to grab the sriracha bottle a bit more often.
