The name of this post could have been any of those phrases because that’s what this past week has been.
Turning 18 (on Tuesday) felt like a huge milestone on its own but because of what I’m doing in my life right now and who I’m surrounded with…it felt like a new beginning as well.
[had to get some lottery tickets now that I’m legal!! haha!]
For the first time ever I feel like I’m going in the right direction, I feel like I have true friends, and I feel like I am finally getting to know the real me. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so in tune with my thoughts, emotions, and feelings. All I can say is that it feels good and I am going to keep rolling with it.
I am truly thankful for where I am in my life right now and all the strides I am making towards my future. I am working to create a life worth living.
And not only was my birthday one of the best I’ve had in a few years, but Thanksgiving was incredible as well. From the food to the company to the feeling in the house throughout the entire day…I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
[turkey, indian spiced pumpkin soup, apple butter-pumpkin pies]
[green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, balsamic roasted veggies, baked mac n’ cheese, freshly made cranberry sauce]
[my plate: turkey, apple-onion relish, mashed sweet potatoes, roasted veggies]
I hope everyone (even if you’re not celebrating Thanksgiving) can take sometime this week to think about what’s important to you in your life. This year I feel like I finally can feel the true meaning behind THANKSgiving. I am truly grateful for the blessings I am fortunate to have in my everyday life. …you know who you are.
I’ll leave you with this simple phrase…
Be you. Live full.
I am working on both of those things right now and all I can say is that my heart and mind are full of contentment and happiness.
Love you all!
Ps: Stay tuned for a check in later this weekend….I am doing something drastic!
