In a recent article from VegNews, I read about how interest in meatless, vegetarian, and vegan eating is at an ALL TIME high. I love to hear that because I’ve been eating (mostly) meatless for years now and have a mostly plant-based diet. It works for my health and my body, but we could all benefit from including more meatless options in our daily eats.
Part of the reason I think interest in plant-based and meatless options has increased recently is because of how much more accessible these types of products are nowadays. Popular convenience brands are making it a point to release more meatless options and people are taking notice.
I grabbed a bunch of tasty new-to-me options and wanted to share them with you all.
Here’s what I got in my latest grocery haul at Walmart…
This new plant-based pot pie has the golden, flaky, made-from-scratch crust you love from classic pot pie but with envelops seasoned Gardein Plant-Based Chick’n instead of actual chicken. Plus, carrots, celery, and peas for a meat-free spin on this classic comfort food.
It’s perfect for for vegetarians, flexitarians or people who love a good pot pie and want to dabble with meat-free eating. It’s also super quick and convenient to make. Literally ready in minutes straight from the microwave.
The ultimate comfort food in my opinion! This gluten-free mac and cheese bowl from Amy’s starts with FROM SCRATCH cheese sauce that’s added to GF pasta and cauliflower. The perfect mix of delicious, cheesy goodness with veggies and pasta. Every bite is so satisfying!
I’ve always been a fan of Amy’s Pizzas, but their new Veggie Crust pizza made with organic cauliflower, broccoli and sweet potato really caught my attention. This is the perfect way to get some extra veggies in your day or to get in your daily servings if you’re somewhat of a picky eater. The crust is so flavorful and has a great texture as well.
I usually crave something sweet for breakfast and this whole grain french toast from GFMS made with oats and ancient grains is a delicious, wholesome option to satisfy my sweet tooth.
