Back to the real world, friends! The holidays are almost through, can you believe it? It seems like they came and went so quickly and now we’re already moving on to 2015!

Recently I’ve really gotten into watching YouTube videos! I’ve never been that into YouTube aside from the occasional viral video viewing, but now that some of my favorite bloggers and social media celebs have started their own channels, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the people behind the screens. I mostly watch health and fitness channels at this point but I am always looking to expand my subscriptions and see what else is out there. Today I thought I’d share some of my favorite channels as of late.
Since I’m studying to become a personal trainer, I love hearing from Brittany about her experiences as a PT. She has great insights into balanced living and she’s also one of the healthiest figure competitors I know! I enjoyed following her journey to the stage and it was so refreshing to see that that body competitions can be done without extreme restriction.
Listening to Kim’s videos is like catching up with a good friend. She’s so friendly and relatable and I love the recipes she shares. Great if you like day in the life style videos and random musings!
Leah has a major passion for health and fitness and is very knowledgable about strength training. I also think it’s awesome that she is a self-made, entrepreneur at such a young age. She’s definitely inspiring and offers great advice on pursuing your passions! Love her Q & A videos.
Katies Fit Script (Katie Ringley)
Katie is a kick ass marathoner, body builder, all around athlete, AND pharmacist. She is working her way through reverse dieting and is a shining example of how metabolic restoration can happen. She has great tips on motivating yourself, accomplishing goals, and not letting yourself be restricted by food or exercise. I want her crazy, fun NYC life!
If you need a laugh, Gigi is your girl! Whether she’s sharing a new crazy recipe or reviewing a health food product, need injects fun and humor into all of her videos. She also always has some really cool guests! You won’t walk away from your screen without a smile on your face or envy of Gigi’s fabulous life in LA.

I’d love to get some suggestions from all of you! Do you know any good lifestyle/health/fitness channels? Maybe you even have your own channel! Leave a link in the comments and please share who your favorite Youtubers are! I feel like there are so many out there that it’s hard to know where to begin.
While we’re on the subject of health and fitness, I wanted to share a link to an article I recently read that I really enjoyed.
18 Fitness and Nutrition Myths
It’s crazy all the claims and contradictory information that’s out there! You really have to be careful with what you choose to believe and the sources you get your advice on healthy living from. Let me know what you think about the article…I thought it was pretty interesting and I agreed with a lot of the info.

Never too early to start Lending a {Healthy} Hand for next week’s round-up! Tell me what you’ve done to help someone else lately!
This is a great post and I just wanted to comment because i’m so into fitness and being healthy. It’s funny because all my fitness gurus are African American probably because they fit mt body type. You probably favor the ones which are closer to your body type as well. It doesn’t mean that we don’t support everyone, because they all are doing a very good job and are really helping the world with their fitness videos, it’s just that the weight loss is more effective when we match our body types for inspiration!
You’re so right! But I can pretty much relate to anyone who shares my values and interests in regards to health and fitness!
FitnessBlender is one of my favorites and YogaYak too!
Oooh sounds like two good ones!
I have been following Kim and Brittany too! Youtube is an outlet that never ceases to surpise me with resources! I also follow Double Dose Fitness for some strength training exercises and lately I found Christine Salus which has killer HIIT at home workouts.
Thanks for the suggestions!!
