A STACKED plant-based burger with caramelized onions, mushrooms, greens and melted vegan smoked gouda. Made with the new AWESOME burger’s from Sweet Earth. Delicious and meat-lover approved!
Thanks to Sweet Earth for sponsoring this tasty recipe!
Plant-based burgers and other meat alternatives are BLOWING UP right now!
Not literally 😉…but they’ve become popular enough that major fast-food chains have even began to add them to their regular meat-filled menus.
Definitely a step in the right direction since we could ALL stand to eat less meat and animal products in general.
Do you what kind of an impact eating meatless 1 day per week could have on the environment and our health?
Some specifics on if 10 million people ate meatless 1x per week…
- reduce enough CO2 emissions to drive around the world 2,438 times
- save 5,700 acres of land
- save 885 million calories and 48 tons of saturated fat
- reduce water usage by 13 million tons
Pretty incredible, right?
And much more doable now that we have so many great plant-based meat alternatives now.
I’ve tried a bunch of plant-based burgers since they started hitting the market, but I am confident I FINALLY found my favorite. Most of them claim to taste and ‘bleed’ like real beef, but from what I’ve found, those claims can be a bit exaggerated. At least that’s what I thought before I was introduced to the new AWESOME Burgers from Sweet Earth.
And awesome is exactly what they are!
I’ve been a fan of Sweet Earth products for years now, so when I found out they were releasing their own burger, I JUMPED at the chance to try it.
I haven’t eaten red meat since I was little kid for health and environmental reasons, but the idea of having a plant-based version of a classic excited me. It’s not so much that I miss beef…more so that I am always looking to try the latest and greatest in plant-based food innovations. And Sweet Earth has really changed the game with their Awesome Burgers.
Each patty has 26g of Protein and 6g of Fiber…plus the taste is incredible! So close to real beef that I thought I was being punked for a minute. 🤣
But alas, I was not…the burgers are just THAT GOOD and THAT AUTHENTIC!
The patties were amazing on their own, but I thought jazzing them up a bit would be fun too. Here’s what I came up with!

This burger and topping combo is BOMB. The burger is so juicy and flavorful on its own, but the toppings just take it to a whole new level. A total win in my kitchen for sure!
