Trader Joe’s is pretty much the MECCA of easy, convenient, relatively healthy meal solutions. Anything you’re craving or could want, they pretty much have in their frozen food section. Everything from asian stir-frys and pirogies to gluten-free mac and cheese and turkey corn dogs. And of course, everyone’s obsession…
Have you tried it yet? The people in my city are so in love with it that my local TJ’s can barely keep it on the shelves. If you don’t get there early in the morning when they open (we’re talking first thing), the two whole cases they stock will be gone by 11am.
Every time I make a trip to Trader Joe’s I grab a few bags so that I can keep my freezer well stocked with the little, pillowy nuggets of cauliflower deliciousness.
They are one of my FAVORITE Trader Joes’ products and I’m shocked that more grocers haven’t hopped on the bandwagon and created their own version….come on Whole Foods & Wegmans! Until then, I’ll keep enjoying the TJ’s version in all sorts of creative, delicious ways.
Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite ways to prepare cauliflower gnocchi with all of you!
7 Unique Preparations
White Beans and Greens with Rosemary
Brown gnocchi in a skillet with butter or olive oil for about 5 minutes. Add a can of drained and rinsed white beans, 1 tbsp of chopped fresh rosemary, and a tbsp of water; let simmer, covered for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve over a bed of baby greens.
Air-Fried with Marinara & Fresh Parm
Place frozen gnocchi into a well-sprayed air-fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes depending on desired level of crispyness. Toss with your favorite marinara sauce and top with sprinkled parmesan cheese.
Italian Sausage with Spinach & Artichokes
Microwave a 10 oz package of frozen, chopped spinach until cooked through, squeeze dry under paper towels. Brown gnocchi in olive oil in a nonstick skillet (5-6 minutes). Stir in 2 links of diced cooked Italian chicken sausage (I use Bilinski’s), a 14 oz can of quartered artichoke hearts, 1/2 can of roasted diced tomatoes, and the spinach. Heat through and serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
Brown Butter Sage Sauce
Air-Fried and paired with your Favorite Dips
Whether you’re a ranch, BBQ sauce, ketchup, or queso person…air-fried cauliflower gnocchi is 100% reminiscent of crispy tater tots and are thus the perfect dipping vehicle for any of your fave sauces or condiments. Using the same method mentioned above, place frozen gnocchi into a well-sprayed air-fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes depending on desired level of crispyness.
Creamy Salmon with Fresh Peas
Microwave cup of 1 cup of fresh peas with 1 tbsp of water in a microwave safe bowl until tender (3-5 minutes). Cook gnocchi in a skillet according to package directions. Stir in 3-4 tbsp of KiteHill Chive Cream Cheese in a non-stick skillet until just melted and creamy. Stir in gnocchi, peas, 1 can of pink salmon (drained), and a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt. Serve warm with a sprinkle of pepper.
