Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.
  2. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients: protein powder, almond flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in wet ingredients: applesauce, almond butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until you have a thick, smooth batter.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  5. Spread evenly in the skillet and bake for 18–22 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is just set.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes, then grab a spoon or slice and serve!
