With college in the near future and constant reminders from the adult’s in my life (namely TEACHERS!), I have started to really think what I want to be doing and where I want to be when I’m older. I plan on going away for college, but wherever I end up I hope it’s full of fun, people, and things that are important to me.
My idea of the perfect place to live would have all of this wonderful stuff:
After living, for my whole life, in a place like Buffalo, I need to move somewhere! I am NOT a cold weather/winter lover…give me sun 365 days a year and I will be completely happy! My family always says that I will miss the temperate climate and the changing of the seasons if I live somewhere warm all year round, but I know that’s not true! 🙂
I definitely want to live in a big city when I’m older, but I also want there to be access to parks, trails, and places where I can just go to escape the hustle and bustle. Parks are such beautiful spaces, especially if they are kept up, and I love just being able to go take walks and runs in them!
Whole Foods and Trader Joes!
Need I say more? I have been deprived of these two amazing stores because they refuse to come to Upstate New York (but I don’t hold a grudge….I still love these two companies!), so wherever I move I want full access to their amazing products!
An Awesome Farmer’s Market
Like Minded Community
One of the biggest motivators for me to lead a healthy lifestyle is having and seeing people around me doing the same. I love when I see tons of people out biking, running, and walking! So, I definitely want to live somewhere where people are health conscious and have the same love of fitness as I do!
Lots of Foodies
Where there are a lot of foodies…..there are a lot of GREAT restaurants and foods! Being such a food lover myself, I love visiting places (like New York and San Diego) with tons of amazing restaurants and new cuisines to experience! I would love to live in a neighborhood with a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant, a sushi restaurant, and a cute sandwich/salad cafe!
These are just some of the things I hope to find wherever I end up! I especially like California and think about it all the time as a definite possibility for college and living!
What is your idea of the perfect city? Do you want to stay in your hometown or move away?
Knee News: My knee is feeling a little better! I am so happy! It’s definitely not 100%, but I am seeing an improvement so that’s a good sign. I took a long bike ride today (since it was so nice out!) with no pain at all!
Blog News: I updated my recipe and product review page! They are completely up to date now! Also, I am thinking about adding a workout tab to the blog…sound like a good idea? I kind of want a way to keep track of my workouts, so I don’t get to repetitive.
