…we put our words into action more often?
…we quieted that voice in our heads that says we aren’t enough?
…we strove for authenticity instead of perfection?
…we put blinders on in the checkout line when every magazine is screaming at us to change ourselves?
…we put away the scales and the measuring cups?
…we got out of the gym and got outside?
…we took less selfies and focused on being more selfless?
…we didn’t define ourselves by our exterior?
…we stopped counting and tracking?
…we stopped meeting societies expectations and started redefining our own?
…we thought of failure as an experience instead of a defeat?
…we replaced our hate and condemnation with tolerance and empathy?
…we built others up instead of tearing them down?
…we acknowledged that we’re all a little hypocritical?
…we practiced what we preached?
…we spoke with kindness instead of condescension?
…we opened our hearts to our adversaries?
…we helped a little more and expected a little less?
…we got involved instead of getting angry?
…we showed our gratitude for everything we’re fortunate to have?
…we honored our body and mind’s true needs?
…we didn’t worry about what other people think?
…we loved ourselves exactly as we are right now?
…we appreciated everything our body does for us?
…we stopped looking for greener pastures and started to bloom right where we’re planted?
…we told people what we really think?
…we stopped living in fear of the unknown?
…we embraced change?
…we took ‘you only live once’ to heart?
…we asked questions and never stopped learning?
…we moved with intention?
…we weren’t ashamed of our opinions?
…we spoke our truths rather than submitting to society’s lies?
…we stopped judging others for the things we do ourselves?
…we called a little more and texted a little less?
…we shared our interests with a new friend instead of just liking a page online?
…we cherished time with our loved ones?
…we volunteered our time instead of just our thoughts?
…we went out on a limb and took a risk?
…we stopped complaining and started acting?
…we channeled our frustrations in to optimism?
…we laughed more more fully?
…we approached that stranger we’re too scared to talk to?
…we applied for that job that seems like a reach?
…we sang a little more and yelled a little less?
…we walked tall and let our inner confidence shine?
…we appreciated in ourselves the things that others see in us?
…we indulged our passions?
…we accepted a compliment?
…we took control of our lives by accepting that most things are out of or control?
What if we stopped waiting for the next five pounds, the next raise, the next workout, or even the next morning and we started living right here right now? The world is yours if you open up your heart and mind to all the potential and possibilities right within you. You’ve got this. You are capable of anything you put your mind to. Stop asking yourself the what ifs and start acting. Soon enough you’ll be saying…WHAT NEXT?
So what are you waiting for?
[Thank you for indulging this stream of consciousness post…I just needed to do a little thinking out loud.]

Today’s Healthy Help: Made dinner for my fellow clients.
Never too early to start Lending a {Healthy} Hand for next week’s round-up! Tell me what you’ve done to help someone else lately!
Sounds like your time at treatment is helping you be introspective, and I like it! Keep these positive thoughts going. These are the kind of things that helped me through my recovery and still do to this day. I also like when you post more of your personal thoughts rather than low calorie recipes.
Keep fighting Kaila! I’m here for you through anything. You can make it through this time.
Thank you Julia! I appreciate your encouragement. Just so you know though, all my posts were pre-scheduled and pre-written to that recipe I shared was created long before my time away.
Love it Kaila! Sometimes we start to be consumed with doubts, fears and what ifs. We get comfortable and there is so much that we leave unexplored. Thank you for sharing! It is time for all of us to bloom 😉
These ‘what ifs’ could change the world as we know it! This list could make up a class curriculum for bettering one’s self! You’re a genius Kaila! Thanks…(-‘
You are so sweet Linda! Thank you!
Now that really is a thought! You’ve touched on so many things that are so prevalent in our society – if everyone followed just one or two of these pieces of advice the world would be a better place. X #brilliantblogposts
Thanks for stopping by!
What a great idea for a post! This a great list to save to return to as a reminder of the things we could be doing to live a more fulfilling life. Nice post!
Thanks girl!
Beautifully said! I found myself connecting to many of the ideas you shared. This was the most important one for me: “we thought of failure as an experience instead of a defeat?” Thanks for that!
Happy Sharefest! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
You’re welcome! Happy Memorial day!
I think this is my favourite post of all time. It’s simply beautiful. I think I may print it out and have it up somewhere to remind me of things I would like to do more =)
Thank you so much Kimmy! You are too kind.

The first one… spot on from the start.
These what ifs are really good questions that if we answer yes to anyone of them, would help us become better and happier.
Thanks for stopping by and reading Hiby!! Appreciate your feedback! 🙂
