I am not good at choosing favorites. Ask me my favorite movie, I’ll most likely name the most recent one I saw and liked. My favorite music? No way. I listen to way to many different bands, artists, and genres. And don’t get me started on my favorite food. That’s nearly impossible! Waaaay too much deliciousness out there to choose favorites. But I think I’ve come up with a solution the questions I always get asked about some of my favorite products. TOP 5 LISTS! Yes, I know it’s cheating. But at least I can share (some) of my favorites with you all!
One of the most frequent questions I get is “what do you top your smoothies with/what type of cereal is in your bowl?”.
I usually am too lazy to go down the long list of all the different kinds I use, but today I’ve rounded up my ‘staple’ toppings so you all can get an idea!
Note, both the top 5 lists I am sharing with you today are in no particular order….it was hard enough narrowing them both down to 5 items! 🙂
- Corn Puffs These are like unsweetened Kix! Which I used to love as a kid! You’ll often see them on my Pumpkin Apple Pie smoothies.
- Simply Fiber This is like the ultimate fiber cereal! Supremely crunchy and NO SUGAR ADDED.
- Ezekiel Original Cereal Do you like Grape Nuts? If that’s a yes, then you will LOVE Ezekiel Cereal. Another Food For Life product I’m obsessed with!
- Bite-Size Shredded Wheat Like heavenly milk pillows once they sit for a little bit in your milk or smoothie.
- Kamut Puffs My go to add on for CRUNCH! Better and more flavorful than puffed wheat or rice…these have a great nutty taste!
In addition to these, I also love adding dried fruit, buckwheat groats, coconut flour, whey crunchies, cocoa, and protein powders to my power bowls, smoothies, and cereal bowls!
If I thought that list was hard, this one was even more difficult! I have nut butter EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Most days multiple times. I’ve been around the block with almost every type and brand of nut butter out there so I feel like this list is pretty accurate in displaying my true favorites and preferences.
- Unsweetened Sun Butter The drippiest, creamiest sunflower seed butter out there!
- Wegmans Natural PB My go to classic peanut butter. Nothing but peanuts and nothing but amazing texture and taste.
- Kolat Blueberry Walnut Butter One of the most unique butters I’ve ever had! It tastes like sweet blueberry cobbler and the most awesome nut bar you’ve ever had all rolled into one!
- NuttZo Original Creamy Can I let you in on a secret? This maaaaay be my favorite! You can’t beat the creamy, salty, sweet deliciousness that SEVEN different nuts and seeds creates. So flavorful, so addicting.
- Maranatha Sunflower Seed Butter The addition of sea salt to this butter makes the roasted sunflower seed taste POP!
I feel pretty confident in this list. When I say I’ve tried EVERY type of nut butter out there and almost every brand, I am not exaggerating! Check out my product review page for proof!
I’d love to hear about some of your favorite products or if you have a request for another one of my Top 5 lists!!! Let me know in the comments.
I am happy I don’t have to pick favorites when it comes to my blog readers….I love ALL of you way too much! Thank you for your continued support and community!
Check back tomorrow for WIAW and a tutorial on how I make my overnight oats! (It’s been highly requested!)

Todays’s Healthy Help: Made my parents some baked oatmeal to have for breakfast for the week!
Never too early to start Lending a {Healthy} Hand for next week’s round-up! Tell me what you’ve done to help someone else lately!
Favorite cereal when I do have it: Puffins.
Favorite peanut butter or nut butter: Justin’s Vanilla Almond, Peanut Butter & Co.
I’ve seen the Kolat but haven’t tried it YET!
Oh yes puffins are sooo good!!
I have been loving the Sunflower butter from TJ’s. I bought cashew butter this week instead to try and think I like Sunflower butter better. Which is nice because it is cheaper 🙂 This would be a great post to include today on my Tried it Tuesday linkup You should check it out!
Checking it out now!
I do not have a top 5 favourite cereal or nut butters since i dont eat either, but from the days that I did, I can say I liked all bran buds and shredded wheats(both taste amazing soggy) and I really ought to try that sunflower seed butter you say is so creamy!
You’re missing out lol!
I have never seen the Ezekial cereal but now I’m on a mission to find it! I love Puffins (peanut butter & chocolate) and Chocolate Crunchy Nuttzo and cashew butter as my favess 🙂
IT IS AMAZING. So crunchy!!
I LOVE Wegman’s PB. The best!
I LOVE the simple ingredients!
Peanut butter & co.’s dark chocolate dreams = heaven in a jar
Never had it but it sounds amazing!!
I love Kashi Cinnamon Harvest (total milk-pillow cereal 🙂 ) and… ooooh nut butters are even harder. Justin’s Maple Almond Butter is amazing, and I also really love Crazy Richard’s/Krema smooth peanut butter. It’s just peanuts and it is fabulously drippy!
Ooooh I am a fan of crazy richard’s too! So drippy!
I just open the kolat blueberry walnut a few days ago, I like it! I think the espresso hazelnut was a little better though. My whole foods in New Orleans started carrying kolat this fall, I was so excited!
Ive been wanting to try the espresso hazelnut !! Sounds delicious!
Love posts like this! I could write a book on my favorite peanut butters, haha. I think my goal is to try every PB out there! Except maybe “The Heat Is On” by PB & Co. because it just sounds gross to me. But otherwise, I love ’em all!
That’s a very yummy goal! 😉
Thanks for this! I am always on the lookout for nutbutters… I am actually just making oatmeal now and am simply adding a dollop of Trader Joe’s peanut butter. It’s delicious, but there are so many brands out there I’m not yet familiar with.
Stopping in from SITS Sharefest–hope you are enjoying your weekend and happy holidays!
