A FULL recap of my skydiving experience at Skydive the Falls, a new local skydiving company that is the first in the world to offer aerial views of Niagara Falls!
A little known fact about me…I acted professionally in local theatre companies from age 7-18. I absolutely LOVED being on stage performing in front of people…making them laugh out loud, sometimes cry….and best of all SMILE.
One thing I always got asked at the end of our shows during the “Talk Back” session (a few actors would come on stage after the curtain call to chat with the kids in the audience…it was a children’s theatre company) was “how could I do the show over and over again and never get bored?”
Well the answer was simple. Each show was SO different. Even though the lines were the same. The blocking was the same. The set was the same. Being with a new group of people (the audience) made the each show come together in such a different way and made that particular performance incredibly unique.
This is EXACTLY how I feel about skydiving.
Wait. Huh?
Did I lose you there, perhaps? 🙋🏻♀️
Hear me out.
Skydiving is one thing I can see myself doing over and over again for the rest of my life. Not only is it incredibly fun and exhilarating (hello adrenaline rush! 👋🏻), but also…IT’S DIFFERENT EVERY TIME.
You could literally jump with the same company out of the same plane every time and each time would be SO different. Unique, fun, and memorable in its own way.
I recently had the pleasure of doing my 3rd jump (read about my first here!) with Skydive the Falls. A new skydiving company located in Youngstown, NY (about 45 mins from Buffalo, called Skydive the Falls, is the only skydiving center of its kind that offers a flight over one of the original seven wonders of the world; Niagara Falls, along with a skydive! It also offers one of the HIGHEST skydives in WNY (at 12,000ft) and is the closest skydiving center to Niagara Falls and Buffalo New York.
In addition to tandem skydiving (what I did!), Skydive the Falls also offers jumps licensed divers and a Learn to Skydive program.
The crew at Skydive the Falls was AMAZING! I went in with high expectations (because HELLOOOO flying over Niagara Falls!) but Jason and his team totally exceeded all of them.
I went with their deluxe package which includes photos and videos from 2 (or in my case THREE!) perspectives. My instructor took pictures and videos from a handy cam on his arm in addition to two other team members, Randy and Tony, taking video and pics from an “outside perspective”.
I gotta hand it to Skydive the Falls for creating an unforgettable experience. I had not 1, not 2, but 3 crew members accompany on my jump! The flight up itself was incredible…views of the Falls like NO OTHER. But the jump itself was beyond anything I could have imagined. The guys “surprised” me by creating a round formation mid-free fall. Essentially the 4 of us all grabbed hands and created a circle WHILE we were free falling at 120mph. SO COOL.
You can see that sequence here…
The freefall is always my favorite part of the jump, but beautiful weather, stunning views of Canada and the US, the lake, the setting sun, and Jason’s awesome skills made the parachute down super fun too.
Without a doubt this jump (my 3rd!) was the best yet and has made me even more excited for my next one! You know you’re running a business right when you leave your customers wanting more. 😉
Check out some more amazing shots of the experience!
And if all those play by play pictures weren’t enough…here’s the EPIC video that Jason and his team made for me!
HUGE shout out to the Skydive the Falls team! Congrats on an awesome first season. I see major success in your future because you are truly leveling up the skydiving game in the WNY area.

Thanks Kim! You should try it some time. 🙂
That looks AMZING! I don’t think I have the stomach for sky-diving — literally. I did OK parasailing, though, so maybe I could cope,
I haven’t gone parasailing but I really would like to!! Looks so fun.
Wow what a cool experience! Just watching you go through that is nerve racking for me lol.

How cool!! My mom and I went skydiving in New Zealand and it was amazing. Really glad we did it, but I’m not sure I’d do it again lol. Your pictures are beautiful!
Oh wow… You are really brave. I always wanted to try skydiving but never had quite courage to do it. Looks like you had great time. Thanks for sharing your experience.

OHMYGOD!!!!
So I would love to be the kind of person who wants to skydive, but I am not. I hate the feeling of free fall. Hate it.
However, this looks so freaking cool! And your pics are amazing! I’m so glad you loved it!
I think every one should do it at least once. 😉 SO FUN!!
What an incredible experience. I am not sure I could ever do that. You look so happy!!!
It was INCREDIBLE!!
