A high protein, sweet hummus dip with all the flavor of a classic peanut butter and jelly. Vegan, gluten-free, no added sugar, and easily made in 5 minutes.
Do you use protein powder?
I’ve kept containers of different proteins in the house for as long as I can remember. I always love having different kinds on hand for an easy source of protein when I haven’t gotten enough from my daily eats (it happens to all of us!).
I’ve tried a number of protein powders over the years because I love trying different brands, types of protein, and all the new products that are always coming to the market. I haven’t ever been totally satisfied with one brand and that’s why I’ve jumped around so much in what I use in my recipes and/or my meals and snacks.
That is…up until now.
Enter Natreve.
Why Natreve?
Natreve has 3 different lines of protein to accommodate everyone’s different needs.
Their whey line is made with grass-fed collagen for the highest purity & absorption. It’s also:
- 100% New Zealand Whey Isolate
- Grass-fed, Hormone-free, Non-GMO, Gluten-free
- Organic greens, probiotics
- 28g protein per serving
Their Vegan line is honestly the best vegan protein I’ve ever had…in terms of taste, texture, AND nutrition. Each of their flavors is:
- 100% Vegan
- Multi-sourced plant-based protein complex from sprouted & ancient grains
- Gluten-free, Non-GMO
- Contains organic greens and probiotics
- 25g protein per serving
Their Keto Collagen line is for those looking to improve skin and hair health or are following the keto diet. But really it’s great for any one and everyone given all the good stuff it’s got inside:
- 100% pure grass-fed rBGH hormone-free whey isolate
- Collactive™ pure marine collagen
- MCT 70 Acacia
- 10g protein, 13g fats, 1g sugar, 2g net carbs per serving
Honestly, my favorite thing about Natreve proteins (aside from the taste and texture of course!) is that all of their products contain added greens. So you’re getting a ton of important vitamins and minerals with every serving. WIN.
I’ve been making my way through all of Natreve’s products over the past month and have been itching to share all of the things I’ve been making with their protein. The recipe sharing starts TODAY with a simple, healthy snack recipe that will keep you full for hours AND satisfy that sweet tooth of yours.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein Hummus
And now to the recipe! With all the amazing flavors of protein that Natreve offers, I have been bursting with ideas on new things to make using their products. From baking to smoothies and everything in between, I have come up with a lot of different uses for Natreve protein, but this easy dip recipe is by far one of my favorite because it’s so freaking simple to make. Less than 5 ingredients and less than 5 minutes.
Combining the Natreve Vegan Strawberry Shortcake protein with peanut powder, chickpeas, and a few other clean ingredients results in a sweet, high protein hummus-like dip that’s perfect for snacking on.
Protein Peanut Butter and Jelly Hummus
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: 5 servings 1x

1 scoop (37 grams) Natreve Vegan Strawberry Shortcake Protein
3/4 cup peanut powder
7 ounces (a little less than a cup) of unsweetened plant-milk
1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
cinnamon, to taste
Instructions
Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend on high until creamy and smooth. Store in the fridge for up to a week and serve with pretzels, rice cakes, graham crackers, and/or fruit.
This recipe is vegan, gluten-free, no added sugar, and has over 13 grams of plant-based protein per serving.
I love eating it with rice cakes, pretzels, and sliced fruit. But it would also be great spread on toast or rolled into a tortilla.
