Spoke a little too soon the other day about not really feeling the effects of jet lag yet! Seeing as I feel asleep 15 minutes into a 7:00 movie yesterday, I’d say I’m still adjusting back to the time difference. 😉
On top of that I’m still not 100% better from the elevation sickness/stomach bug I got last weekend. Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, bloating, and a host of stomach issues were some of my symptoms as well as an extreme aversion to food and loss of appetite….something that I RARELY experience. Seriously the only time I lose my apetite when sick is when I have the flu. Other than that I am still always hungry! So for about a week now I have not been able to eat normally and it’s really taken a toll on my body.
Luckily today I am feeling a bit better on all fronts and even have my appetite back! I am so thankful because I lost quite a bit of weight with this illness and am not feeling my best or strongest in the slightest. But I think it’ll all come back on pretty quickly now that I am able to eat normally again. Never thought I’d be so happy to feel hunger cues!
Aside from all the excitement of being home and readjusting, I am really enjoying relaxing and catching up on all the things I missed over the past month! It’s crazy how much things pile up even being gone a few short weeks! There are tons of current events to get informed about, emails to respond too, and commitments to follow up on. Something that I enjoyed coming home to was this big pile of packages!
It was like Christmas in June! So much to sort through and so many samples to try!
[lots of delicious mustards from Suzies]
Obviously there will be a lot of fin reviews over the coming weeks!
Also, my veggie garden exploded with growth!
Shouldn’t be too long before I can start harvesting some fresh produce!
Before I go I wanted to show you some of the things I bought while in Philippines for friends and family!
[fresh hand roasted Filippino coffee….I’ve never had such fragrant coffee in my life]
Of course, the best thing I could have brought back with me were the memories I made…also the pictures! I love being able to look back and remember my experiences through visual reminders.
I want to wish all the dad’s out there a Happy Father’s Day! I will be recapping my Dad’s day on Monday!
Until then, enjoy the rest of your weekend and start submitting your #healthyhelp for the return of Lend a Healthy Hand! Let’s make the first round-up back a BIG one! Spread the word. 🙂
Ps: If you have any other questions about my trip or in general feel free to ask…if I get enough I will make a vlog! Haven’t done one in a long while!
