Because we all need a little reassurance sometimes…
To wear sunglasses indoors (partially because you forgot you were wearing them, partially because you’re channeling Kanye).
To only shave the bottom half of your legs
To have a crush on your yoga instructor
To want to believe that every thing happens for a reason
To go to bed early when it’s raining so you can fall asleep to the sound of the rain
To not drastically changes your diet every time you get a minor stomachache or pimple
To miss friends that you haven’t seen in a while
To worry about your future and feel like you’re falling behind everyone else
To get extreme pleasure out of smiling at strangers
To people watch for fun
To enjoy cutting the lawn
To sleep in the clothes you plan on wearing in the morning (EFFICIENCY!)
To let go of things that no longer serve you
To wear old to shirts and dumpy shirts to workout in…you’re not trying to impress anyone
To only be able to take one day at a time right now
To have confidence in your body and to not feel the need to conform to society’s standards…we all could do this a little more
To feel like you’re friends with your favorite podcasters
To feel good on some days and bad on others…we’re all human and we’re all just trying
To not exercise
To be a Netflix documentary junkie (I especially LOVED this one recently!)
To fantasize about living somewhere warm 24/7
To prioritize your insides over your outsides…they’re more important anyways
To get a little choked up when you see a beautiful sunset on your drive home
To sit in your sweaty workout clothes for far longer than is appropriate
To get excited about kids stuff
[I’m embarrassed to say I’ve watched every episode]
To get pleasure and enjoyment out of food
To try something you’re scared of doing
To get a little teary eyed when your friends know exactly what to say at just the right moment
To love your hometown the longer you’re in it
To have nervous energy…give you more chances to discover ways of channeling it!
To sing at the top of your lungs when you’re favorite song comes on in the car
To know that things may be hard right now, but they won’t always be…everything is temporary
To write a silly blog post and hope that someone out there feels a little comforted by the fact that we all have our oddities, hang ups, and idiosyncrasies
But hey….IT’S OKAY!

Yes to only shaving the bottom half of legs, and I am a nervous energy person when I need to get things done! Sometimes it’s good but most of the time I wish I could relax more.

I’m cutting myself slack on not taking the stairs this morning… I did run 8 miles before work, though!
You go girl! 8 miles is no joke!
My kids love girl meets world and I didn’t even have to sell them on it. To the shaving one I would add if you only shave every other day (bottom half only of course!) and also it’s okay that I’m behind on laundry and cleaning again? That one is only okay up to a point!

It is ok… to enjoy grocery shopping …. to go to the frozen yogurt place down the street at least once a week? …. to count down the minutes until 5pm some days??

I love falling asleep to the rain too. I also feel like I’m falling behind everyone else. Most of my friends have kids & are married, I’m still single. I think everything you’ve suggest is ok. I hope you’ve had a great weekend!
