Ever since I published my Hawaiian Tuna Burger recipe a few years back, I’ve been trying to think of a way to marry those flavors together again and make something even more delicious.
Well, today is that day!
You all know I LOVE seafood. So, when I had the chance to try the StarKist Selects E.V.O.O.® Pouches (including tuna and salmon), I was pumped! I was able to try the StarKist Selects E.V.O.O.® Yellowfin Tuna with Sun-dried Tomato, StarKist Selects E.V.O.O.® Yellowfin Tuna, and StarKist Selects E.V.O.O.® Wild-Caught Pink Salmon. The pouches are all packed in cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and all have just a few simple ingredients. The extra virgin olive oil gives the tuna and salmon a rich, mellow flavor and tender texture. They are also a great, natural source of Omega 3s, are Keto, Paleo, and Mediterranean Diet friendly.
Both the salmon and the tuna varieties are Wild Caught and have no fishy taste to them at all. Just clean, premium fish that tastes fresh and flavorful. I love seafood that is healthy AND sustainable.
I tried the tuna on its own first and was in LOVE with the fresh, clean flavor. It reminded me of all the tuna I ate in Spain earlier this year and I knew it would work perfectly in the taco recipe I had in mind.
With a mix of fresh herbs, fruit, seasonings, and my favorite green chilies, I created a tasty taco filling that seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers alike will enjoy!
