The perfect combination of two healthy breakfasts…overnight oats and a green smoothie! High fiber, vegan, gluten-free, and no added sugar. Full of nutrients to keep you going all day long.
I love convenience. Whether it’s trying out a new meal delivery service or using my Keurig to make a quick cup of coffee when I’m running late in the morning. Convenience sometimes costs bit more, but to me TIME is the most costly thing and I do not want to waste it. So if having a few extra items in my life means I have more time that can be used for things like work, maintaining important relationships, and self-care…then I am ALL about it.
Enter Vejo.
What is Vejo?
Vejo is the world’s FIRST pod blender. Think Keurig…but for smoothie drinks instead of coffee and tea. AKA awesome. And what’s even more amazing about Vejo is that it’s perfect for taking on the go. It’s the size of a water bottle so you can literally fit it in your purse, backpack, or gym bag and have healthy, nourishing, FRESHLY BLENDED drinks wherever you go.
As someone who travels frequently, I can see this becoming a STAPLE on my packing list. One thing I like to promote here is the fact that you can stick to your normal healthy habits no matter where you are in the world. And a product like Vejo is making that even easier! Just pack the blender and few pods and you are well on your way to healthy snacks and drinks wherever you roam.
How to Blend
The process is so easy. Once you charge your Vejo, you fill it up to the fill line with your liquid of choice (I’ve done water and plant-milk…both work great!), you pick a pod (Matcha Latte and Clean Greens are my FAVES…but they are all delicious!), peel off the outer plastic layer, pop it in top side down into the blender, twist back on the top until it clicks and the blending will start automatically. Then in 30 seconds you have a fully blended, ready to drink smoothie. I like pouring mine over ice, but they are equally delicious straight from the blending cup. AND you’re cutting down on water and plastic usage by drinking it out of the blender cup! A win-win for you and the environment.
Taste and Nutrition
Vejo has 22 different pod offerings. Everything from green smoothies to coffee drinks. I was able to try their best seller starter kit, which I would recommend to everyone because it gives you a good sense of the variety they have to offer.
The best seller kit includes:
Tart Berry – mix of premium berries filled with Vitamin C and free radical busting anthocyanins.
Pina Greens – pineapple and greens…YUM! High in Vitamin C, B vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber.
Banana Almond – tastes like banana bread in a cup! 7 grams of protein plus fiber and healthy fats.
Clean Greens – the ultimate green smoothie pod with fuji apple, leafy greens, sea buckthorn, and cucumber.
And I was also able to try their Matcha Latte pod which turned out to be an unexpected favorite! I am usually not a huge matcha person, but this pod had just the right amount of green tea flavor balanced out by oat milk powder, vanilla extract, and natural sweetener (stevia and monkfruit). It made for the perfect cold, creamy afternoon pick me up and has totally renewed my faith in
Did I mention all of their products have no added sugar? Which you know I LOVE. And most are vegan and gluten-free aside from some of the pods that contain whey protein.
Drink on its own…or get creative!
Like I said above, the pods are great blended with a liquid of your choosing and then drank right out of the blender cup. But I always like to get a little creative with things I am trying for the first time. So of course in true Healthy Helper fashion, I did a little recipe creating with some of the pods I tried. There were Banana Almond Bars, Matcha Latte Protein Pancakes, and these incredible Green Smoothie Overnight Oats that I’ve been eating ON REPEAT.
Grab the recipe below!
