3 months of hard work, grueling hours at the computer…..and I AM FINALLY DONE! The biggest essay of my high school career….is DONE. I finished it up this weekend along with two other essays that are due later this week. Needless to say, my mind has been a little…distracted.
So distracted in fact that I’ve become a forgetful little blogger!! There’s so much I have to fill you guys in on! Let me give you the run down!
1. The 30 Day Photo Challenge!
Whoops! Missed Day 5! I should have posted it on my last post, but it slipped my mind. So you get a two for one deal today!!
Day 5: Morning Sun
[It makes for a good picture…but honestly I’m not a fan of morning sun (anti-daylight savings ALL the way!)]
Day 6: Books
[Okaaay, so I know it’s not technically a book but we’re reading Hamlet right now in English so I thought this would be a little more interesting ]
2. Healthy Aperture!
Remember that FoodGawker-esque site I mentioned!?! Well the photo and recipe I submitted was featured!
Food Gawker has never accepted any of my pics so it was exciting to be acknowledged
3. My 17th Birthday!
It’s less than a week away (next Sunday the 20th)!! With how busy November has been it kind of slipped my mind that my birthday was coming up….time really flew this month.
4. San Diego for Thanksgiving
My parents and I leave next Tuesday for San Diego to spend Thanksgiving with my sister! Anytime I get to visit my sis is amazing….but being able to spend Thanksgiving with her is going to be so special. We haven’t been able to celebrate together as a family since she moved out there so this year will be really memorable.
[from last year’s visit!]
And aside from seeing my wonderful sister… I will FINALLY be able to use the Whole Foods Groupon I bought a few months back! SCORE.
5. Foods of the Moment
Remember those posts?! They were staples on the blog for quite some time but I realized I haven’t done one in forever! Well time to remedy that!
Here are the other installments:
How did I live without this for so long!? Soooo good! I am totally cheating on Carob with this guy
Suzies Kamut Flatbreads and Aunt Gussies Everything Crackers!
Many of you were wondering how the Kohlrabi turned out! Well I gotta say…I’m a fan! The puree is creamy and smooth….tastes like a mi of cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and cabbage!!
Bobs Red Mill Apples, Cinnamon, n’ Oats hot cereal…flax seed, oats, brown rice, wheat germ, apples, and LOTS of cinnamon!
Winter is pomegranate season and I am ready to have these yummy fruits back in my life!!
Now that you’re all caught up…have a fabulous night!!!
When are you most forgetful?
Any plans for Thanksgiving?
Are you close with your siblings?
Ps: I have something else I feel like I should address but I keep going back and forth on whether I should or not…its something I don’t really want to draw much attention to or give energy to. I feel like the more I talk about it the more power the negativity it brings has. I will decide within the next few days whether I want to bring it up…so stay tuned.
