Thanks for all the well wishes about my Achilles on my last post! I still really don’t know what it is…but I do know that it HURTS! Plus it’s really swollen. Walking hurts, running hurts, arching my foot hurts…biking is the ONLY thing that doesn’t hurt it…weird right?
Well it looks like I will be laid up for a while on the exercise front, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share some fun fitness stuff for you all to enjoy!
I mentioned that I used the arc trainer the other day at the gym and that I came up with an interval routine that I actually liked!
I have never been a big fan of the arc…mainly because I never know how hard to or how hard I am pushing myself. There is such a wide range of inclines and resistances that you can set it to that it just gets a bit confusing. But, I finally set my mind to it and put some time in to figuring out how to get a good workout out of it! Here’s what I came up with:
This got me sweaty and sufficiently “worked out”! The mix of resistances and inclines switches up the cadence and makes for a great overall leg and arm workout (I use the bars when I do the arc trainer!). Some are fast some are slow but you feel it the entire time in your legs and glutes!
Let me know if you try this out!
In other news…yesterday I competed in an essay contest at my school and came in 2nd place! Woo! 250 dollar check for a prize? I am definitely not complaining! That is going straight into my “flights to Expo East” fund!
Speaking of which…are any of you planning on attending? I would love to meet up!
Enjoy your Saturday, friends!
