Rich cocoa and sweet cherries combine in these raw, vegan brownie bites! Amazing chocolate flavor is complimented with a hint of coffee and lots of crunch from raw almonds and walnuts. These bites taste decadent, but are actually healthy and full of plant-based protein. The ultimate no-bake brownie treat!
My favorite way to get inspiration for recipes is from ALL OF YOU.
Whether it’s a DM on Instagram, a comment here, or a request from one of my nutrition coaching clients, I love creating recipes that you all actually want to see.
And that’s the case with the healthy treat recipe I’m sharing today! Chocolate Cherry Mocha Brownie Bites inspired by a nutrition coaching client wanting a healthy sweet snack she could meal prep for the week and have for a quick pre- or post-workout fueling option.
She wanted them to be super easy to make, made with whole foods, dairy-free, and packed with protein.
So of course, I used my go-to vegan protein from Natreve Wellness as the base for these delicious bites!
WHY NATREVE?
Natreve has 3 different lines of protein to accommodate everyone’s different needs.
Their whey line is made with grass-fed collagen for the highest purity & absorption. It’s also:
- 100% New Zealand Whey Isolate
- Grass-fed, Hormone-free, Non-GMO, Gluten-free
- Organic greens, probiotics
- 28g protein per serving
Their Vegan line is honestly the best vegan protein I’ve ever had…in terms of taste, texture, AND nutrition. Each of their flavors is:
- 100% Vegan
- Multi-sourced plant-based protein complex from sprouted & ancient grains
- Gluten-free, Non-GMO
- Contains organic greens and probiotics
- 25g protein per serving
Their Keto Collagen line is for those looking to improve skin and hair health or are following the keto diet. But really it’s great for any one and everyone given all the good stuff it’s got inside:
- 100% pure grass-fed rBGH hormone-free whey isolate
- Collactive™ pure marine collagen
- MCT 70 Acacia
- 10g protein, 13g fats, 1g sugar, 2g net carbs per serving
As I’ve mentioned before, my favorite thing about Natreve proteins (aside from the taste and texture of course!) is that all of their products contain added greens. So you’re getting a ton of important vitamins and minerals with every serving. No other protein on the market can compare!!
Now, back to these incredible brownie bites…
Chocolate Cherry Mocha Brownie Bites
These are the closest thing you can get to fresh-baked brownies with NO BAKING! They have that dense, fudgy texture of perfectly cooked brownies with slight crunch from the nuts and nice hints of tartness from the dried cherries. The perfect contrast of tastes and textures.
I really could have called these DOUBLE chocolate brownie bites because you get intense chocolate flavor from both the unsweetened cocoa powder and the Fudge Brownie Natreve Vegan Protein Powder.
One thing I love about working with plant-based protein in no-bake treats is that it’s not as chalky and dry as whey products can be. It blended in perfectly with the other ingredients and made them nice and sturdy so they hold together well.
The addition of instant coffee gives these a smooth mocha flavor and even makes them great for a pre-workout munch since they’ve got some caffeine in them. You know you’re gonna have a good sweat session when it starts with chocolate! 😉
Chocolate Cherry Mocha Brownie Bites
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 16 balls 1x
Ingredients
3/4 cup raw walnuts
1/4 cup raw almonds
2 cup of pitted medjool dates, finely chopped
¾ cup unsweetened dried cherries
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp instant coffee granules/powder
1 scoop Natreve Wellness Fudge Brownie Vegan Protein Powder
2 tbsp of extra-virgin coconut oil, melted
1/8 tsp of sea salt
Instructions
Place nuts and dates into a food processor and process on high until they begin to form a crumbly texture.
Add in remaining ingredients and process on high until well combined (texture will seem crumbly but will come together as you’re forming it into balls). Scoop mixture into a mixing bowl and take about 1-2 tablespoons worth of it in your hands to form a ball. Place ball in a Tupperware and repeat with remaining mixture. You should be able to make about 16 bites depending on what size you make them.
Place bites in the fridge and let them firm up before eating. Store in the fridge for about a week or in the freezer for up to a month.
Easy to make, healthy, delicious. And the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth with no added sugars.
These bites are 100% vegan, gluten-free, have no added sugar, and are FULL of vegan protein. AKA the ultimate healthy snack that takes minutes to make. Chocolate lovers! These are for you.

Hi there. I would like to try this recipe, but can’t access your brand of protein powder. Can you please include/let me know the volume/weight of your “scoop” in the recipe? Ta!
You can use any type of vegan chocolate protein powder! Use 28-30 grams! 🙂
I have been meaning to give any of these type of recipes a try. I think you may have sold me. I was craving cherry cordials, and of course we’re almost into February, and are no where to be found. Thanks for linking up with us at The Wednesday Showcase Party.
So happy to hear that!! Let me know how you like them!!

Hi Kaila,
Love this recipe -sounds like a tasty healthy snack. I think it great that Walmart is carrying more organic so that it can be affordable for people. It also goes to show that people are really concerned and becoming aware of what is in our food and that is a great change for our country. Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned & twitted!
I agree! It’s so nice to see healthier foods start making their way out onto the mainstream market!
These look delicious!

You had me at chocolate Kaila! Thanks so much for sharing this over at Let’s Get Real. Silly question………….do you have any tips on pitting the dates? I find them difficult to work with. Not impossible. Just difficult. I feel like everyone knows how to deal with these suckers and I’m at a loss.
My trick? I buy them already pitted? LOL!
I’m intrigued by these little bites! They’re adorable, and I love that they’re guilt-free.
Thanks for linking up with The Alder Collective! Your posts have been pinned to our group board. We hope you’ll join us again tomorrow at 8 pm EST.

No bake is my favourite kind of “baking” haha ;p
These sound great! I really need to get my butt in gear and come up with a good Valentine’s Day treat =)
Growing up, my family always made a huge deal of Valentine’s Day, so I have fond memories. My husband isn’t so much into celebrating big holidays though, so we don’t really do much. It’s just another day.
Just another day?! Absurd!! Make it CHOCOLATE DAY! LOL
Um yes! I will make it chocolate day. That is a fabulous idea!
ps. these are being featured on HVF (shocker, right?!). Thanks so much for sharing – I’m pinning this (and bookmarking for making… I don’t think I can wait until Valentine’s Day haha).
