Chocolate, banana, and coconut come together in these deliciously decadent fudge bars. These no-bake treats are easy to make, naturally vegan, gluten-free, and have no added sugar. A perfect dessert or healthy, sweet snack!
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about gifts I can give to my family and friends. Holiday or not, I LOVE surprising people with small things. A card in the mail and unexpected container of homemade treats.
I like doing a mix of store-bought (or really online ordered!) items and homemade or DIY treats. This way they get something practical or that they need/want with something that is just a delight in itself and probably unexpected!
I know my family especially appreciates my homemade treats and snacks. I’ve been cooking and baking up a storm lately…so my taste testers have been very happy.
A recent favorite? These Chocolate Banana Coconut Fudge Bars.
Chocolate Banana Coconut Fudge Bars
These bars are:
- vegan
- gluten-free
- grain-free
- no sugar added
- FULL of chocolate goodness
Coconut and chocolate is one of my favorite food combos (aside from chocolate and peanut butter, of course), so I thought they’d pair perfectly in terms of taste and texture in these fudge bars!
Chocolate Banana Coconut Fudge Bars
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 8-10 pieces 1x
Ingredients
1 cup almond flour (or 1/2 almond flour + 1/2 coconut flour)
½ cup shredded coconut + extra for topping
½ cup almond butter
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 of dark chocolate or unsweetened chocolate bar
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until evenly combined. Put mixture on a piece of parchment paper and form into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle more shredded coconut on top and press it into the fudge. Place in the fridge or at least an hour. Slice in half and then into 8-10 slices and then serve.
Best if stored in the freezer or refrigerator.
With these bars, you’re getting all the chocolate flavor you could want with less sugar because of the use of fruit to sweeten them. Using fruit to sweeten treats is my all time favorite baking hack!
It’s such an easy swap to make and doesn’t detract from the taste or texture of the end result at all. In fact, I PREFER desserts that are fruit-sweetened. Once you have them that way you quickly realize that more desserts are over-sweetened as it is. Plus using fruit often adds fiber and an extra serving of fruit into foods that wouldn’t normal contain those nutrients!
I will definitely be making more of this fudge throughout the year. Guess I sort of spoiled the surprise for my friends and family when the holiday season comes around, huh? Well, I am sure they won’t mind when they are presented with a big box of fudgey deliciousness! 😉

Yummy!
I love anything that’s thoughtful. If that’s handmade, great! But I love receiving something store bought when I know the person buying it for me really had my heart and interests in mind 🙂
True!! It’s definitely the intention behind the gift that counts! 🙂
They look so yummy!I will try them for my Sunday dinner with friends!Thank’s a lot!
So welcome! Enjoy!
OMG these look SOOOOOO good, I cannot wait to get myself in the kitchen! xo C

Thank you, dear!!!
OOOO OOOO OOOO! These looks awesome and wonderful. My mouth is watering. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Weekend Potluck. Enjoy a great weekend and please come back again soon.
So welcome!! Enjoy!
Wow, these fudge bars look heavenly! I love that they are fruit sweetened (I totally agree that once you start eating naturally sweetened foods, you do realise that desserts sweetened with sugar are waaaay too sweet!). I have been thinking about making edible gifts for my family this year, and these look perfect!
Let me know if you try them out!!
I can just imagine biting into that hard chocolate top and the chewy fudge underneath YUM!!!! So much easier than the whole boiling thermometer situation, I always mess that up ha! Plus there’s fruit involved yay 🙂
Oh it is SO GOOD. Taste and texture heaven!
I think you’ve outdone your self on these! They look unreal! I might use arrowroot flour in the place of corn starch, but I’m pinning for the holidays!
Thank you so so much! You’re so kind! I think arrowroot would work fine! 🙂
COCONUT AND CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!! How did you know Mounds are my favorite candy? THIS trumps Mounds bars though. BY FAR!
Haha! They were my inspiration!!
These are seriously calling my name!! So many things I love in one delicious treat <3
Homemade gifts are where it's at, especially when they're edible!!
Same here! Edible gifts have a special place in my…stomach!! HA!
Homemade goodies are one of my favorite things during the holidays! [client]

I’m actually not a big fan of fudge because I usually find it sickeningly sweet – that’s way this recipe looks way more appealing.
This has JUST the right amount of sweetness! The use of unsweetened AND semi-sweet chocolate really balance out the flavor of the bar layer! I think you’d love these! 🙂
These look fantastic!! Such wonderful treats for the holidays 🙂
Thank you so much! Let me know if you try them!
Looks SO good!
Thanks Paula!
[…] Chocolate + coconut. In the form of fudge. Yes please. […]

Isn’t it the best? So fun this time of year!!
I totally agree with you – there are few things better than coconut and chocolate!
Such a simple yet delicious combination!
These look delicious!
I love holiday baking and this year is especially hard for me as I can’t get in the kitchen to bake (we have no stove, the fridge is outside, and we can’t use the main level all week but I did pull the stove out and hook it up to make muffins yesterday and I haven’t turned it on in over a month! I almost cried) with the remodel but hopefully this weekend that will all change!
I love this post for so many reasons but mainly because I remember the Bakers Chocolate and Bakers Coconut in the kitchen every Christmas as my mom always used them. So many memories and I love how the package hasn’t changed over the years.
Oh that sounds rough for someone who loves creating in the kitchen!! I went through something similar when we got our kitchen redone a few years back…pure foodie hell! LOL And I love the Baker’s products too! So simple yet so high quality!
Chocolate and coconut are my favorite combination! These look so delicious and pinning for later! Thanks for linking up!! Love having you every week!
