How is everyone’s weekend going? Mine was a bit of ‘mixed bag’ I guess you could say! A little bit of fitness, some good eats, and a few random excursions!
Yesterday I started the day with a KILLER workout at the gym! Felt so good afterwards and I wanted to share part of it with you all! After some arc trainer intervals, I did this
incline walking workout (EDIT) SPEED INTERVAL workout on the treadmill (I do have an incline walking workout to share as well, so stay tuned for that later this week! Sorry for the confusion!!)….it’ll get you sweating people!
I also picked up this book…
Haha….it was about time since I have been listening so religiously to her podcasts! Has anyone read this?! I have one other book to finish up and then I am diving in!
Got my final high school report card yesterday too!
Straight A’s through 4 years…feels pretty good.
Later in the day I planned out some blogging content for the week…here’s what’s on the agenda:
-a post inspired by Cheryl’s latest post…
-more blogging challenge prompts (I am just going to do them on the days I blog rather than trying to do them ALL!)
-LINK LOVE…it’s been SO LONG since I’ve done one of these!
And of course all the usual fun!
Felt good to make a plan and be a bit more organized for the week ahead. In the Summer, lack of routine can be really nice at first, but after awhile it getting on some sort of schedule feels a little more normal.
But sometimes its good to throw schedules out the window in favor of watching random sporting events…which is exactly what I did last night! My dad’s friend was playing in a men’s FASTPITCH softball tournament so we decided to go watch one of the games last night. I have only ever seen girls play fast pitch (what I used to play!)…so I didn’t really know what to expect.
But let me tell you…these guys throw hard!!!!! Yeah, it was a little weird at first seeing the guys throw in the fast pitch style and play with a softball…but once you got past that it was pretty clear that these guys were intense athletes!
The night ended with two episodes of the new show Newsroom.
I am addicted already. It makes me want to become a news anchor! Seriously, everything that goes on behind the scenes of a new show is so interesting! Props to Aaron Sorkin for another BEAST show!
July Blogging Challenge:
Day 7– If you could live in any time period of the past, what would it be and why?
This is a no brainer….definitely while World War 2 was going on. I’ve mentioned it before, but it is my FAVORITE time period in history to study! Something about it just fascinates me and I would love to be able to go back in time and experience/study it first hand. Granted I know it was a terrible time in history and was probably very difficult to live through, it still would be cool to see people’s perspectives on everything while it was going on in comparison to how people today view all that occurred.
And last but not least for this (unintentionally!) LONG post….
The winner of my GNU BAR GIVEAWAY!!
Thank you to all who entered….the winner of the big variety box is:
Email me your info and I will mail your bars out to you this week!
Hope everyone’s weekend wraps up well! I am going on a walking tour of a local cemetery today and doing a bit of grocery restocking….what are you up to?
