Beans. Full of plant-based protein and filling fiber. Usually associated with savory dishes and hearty meals. But guess what? Beans have a whole different use in my kitchen!
You guys know I’m a fan of unique ingredients and flavor combinations. I love experimenting with new to me foods and playing around with different recipes to create cool textures and taste.
Well a few years back I stumbled upon the amazingness that are BEAN-BASED BAKED GOODS! I know what you’re thinking…crazy, right? Maybe even gross? But hear me out. I promise you that when you use them right, beans can be a great addition to baked treats.
And I am looking beyond black bean brownies. We’re talking cookies, dough balls, bars, and more! Any traditional treat can be made over to contain a bean-y ingredient and some of them are even improved with the change!

Yum yum yum! I love baking with beans (and eating them in anything, really) and all of these recipes look scrumptious! They give such an awesome texture – as well as a nutrition punch, too!
