A roundup of beautiful recipes featuring the seasonal fruit delight: BLUEBERRIES! Bursting with color and flavor, these recipes are healthy, full of antioxidants, and perfect for using the bounty of blueberry season.
Blueberries have been SO good lately.
Probably because we are in PEAK blueberry season. So it definitely makes sense! 😉
Most of the year I buy frozen blueberries, but in the summer, fresh is the way to go because they are perfectly plump, ripe, and juicy.
Since I’ve been buying so many blueberries lately, I’ve had to keep thinking up tons of new ways to uses them. Pies, jams, tarts, pancakes…the possibilities are endless and they just taste so good in everything!
It is blueberry season after all and soon I’ll be heading out to the country with my mom for our annual blueberry picking trip. We usually only go once a summer since we go a little overboard on picking! Once you start you just can’t stop.
Last year we got about 15 pounds and ended up having a freezer full of them well into winter. If you like fresh blueberries, wait till you’ve had them frozen from fresh. They’re like candy! Sort of reminds me of what happens when you freeze grapes. A sweet healthy treat for summer for sure!
Since I’ll be going picking soon, I thought it would be fun to gather up some Beautiful Blueberry Recipes to give me some inspiration for what to make with my haul. I reached out to some of my favorite bloggers and got their best blueberry filled recipes to share with all of you! So now we all will be set to take full advantage of blueberry season this year. Remember it only lasts from May to July…so get them while they’re fresh!

Gorgeous roundup!! The only time I actually picked blueberries was in the middle of August and I was 6 months pregnant. It was hot. Blueberries are small. And that bucket just wouldn’t get full! LOL! After that we decided buying them from the farm was just as good…we’d buy 20 lbs and do exactly what you do… eat 10 then freeze the other 10! LOL! 🙂 Thank you for including me! <3
So welcome!!
Mmmm…. I’m definitely going to come back here soon and make some beautiful blueberry recipes! <3
Let me know which ones you try!
HI Kaila,

Definitely! Blueberries ALL DAY!
Yum! We love blueberries at our house, and all of these sound terrific, especially the blueberry beet muffins (we love beets too!). I’ve pinned this to save for later. I can’t wait to try these out!
I thought those looked great too!
I gotta go blueberry picking, I really really need do! Everything is better fresh, I’m sure they are magical. Thank you for all the ideas and for including one of mine <3 I just love blueberries in stuff!
Okay, so I’m one of those really strange people… I don’t like blueberries. But- okay, here me out. I don’t think they taste like… anything? If that makes sense. My best friend loves blueberries, so she thinks I’m insane, but unless it’s a blueberry muffin, I’m not really interested. When it’s baked in something (like in these recipes), I’m all about it though! Just not on their own. 😉
Haha! No shame in that! We all have different tastes! I swear if you’ve never had them fresh picked then you’ve never really TASTED a blueberry…there’s something so special about eating a blueberry right off the bush! I don’t like papaya or fresh mango so I definitely can relate to not liking a popular fruit! 🙂
I love blueberries. Lately I’ve been on a fresh blueberry and raw almonds snack kick. It’s just so good!
Love that snack combo!

My blueberry bushes are loaded this year! I can’t wait for the harvesting to begin. I usually goes like this 1 for me, 1 for the dog, 1 for the bucket. Sometimes Max (the dog) gets impatient & the bucket gets none! I have my own little mini blueberry farm (18 bushes – mostly the Jersey variety because the berries are large). Last year we froze 18 quarts and I still have some left.
These are amazing recipes, that’s for sharing
