Take your water from flat to FANTASTIC with these easy, homemade flavored water ideas! Hydration can be a chore. Make it more appealing with these delicious beverage options. This post is sponsored by PUR®.
Hydration can be hard. When I talk to my Fitness Nutrition coaching clients, one of the biggest things they struggle with is getting enough water in during the day. If you’re not chugging consistently, it’s likely that you’re not meeting your fluid requirements for the day.
Sure coffee and juice count in your daily total intake, but the best thing you can be drinking daily is pure water. I’ve talked about the importance of hydration in the past plus all the health benefits that staying hydrated affords you, but since it’s January and many people will be making goals for themselves this month, I thought I’d remind you about the importance of hydration.
Here are just some of the benefits of hydration…
Like I said above though, it can be difficult! Some people just don’t like drinking plain old water and need something a little more fun and appealing to meet their daily fluid requirements. That’s why I am here to help!
Today I am bringing you 10 all natural recipes to flavor your water right in your own kitchen! No fancy infusers or contraptions needed. Just simple recipes that will take your water from boring and bland to BANGIN’. Hydration has never been so healthy or exciting!
Obviously the most important ingredient in all the recipes is the water itself. And that’s why it’s important to start with CLEAN water. I’ve talked about the importance of cooking with clean water in the past, and having clean drinking water is just as crucial.
I keep my water clean and toxin free with my PUR® Advanced Faucet Filter. It features PUR MineralClear® filters, which filter water over natural minerals for a crisp, refreshing taste and has a CleanSensor™ Monitor that indicates filter status. Both help guarantee I have safer and healthier filtered drinking water. Another cool thing about PUR? They have a site called KnowYourWater.com that uses public water quality data received from the EPA to help educate consumers on the journey of water from source to treatment to tap, and allows users to easily learn what’s in their water.
I always say an informed consumer is a HEALTHY consumer, so it’s important to become educated on the quality of the water near YOU. There are 3 key pieces of information that Know Your Water provides:
+ closest water source and how far it is from your address
+ level of lead in your water
+ the specific treatments performed on your water before leaving the plant and entering your home
Pretty cool, right? I, for one, never knew any of this information before checking out the Know Your Water site and now I feel so much more knowledgeable about the water that is going into my body everyday.
And now for those recipes…

As I mentioned before, HYDRATION is IMPORTANT. That’s why you want to ensure you’re getting the cleanest, highest quality, filtered water you can in your home. With PUR, you can do that!

Oh what a fun post! I actually have no problem drinking plain water… actually, it’s the only thing I drink aside from my beloved smoothies. I’m just not into drinking anything else. That being said, I always come across people who admire my water-drinking abilities but just aren’t as into it. I’m always trying to think of ways to help them easily incorporate more water into their day – this is a great start.
Thanks so much for sharing at Healthy Vegan Fridays! I’m pinning & sharing.
Thanks Kimmy! I definitely admire your water drinks skills! LOL

I mostly drink plain, old, boring water, but every now and again I add a bit of flavor. Mostly recently, I tried blueberry/cucumber and blueberry lemon.
The strawberry jalapeno is intriguing!
